Robert Plant and the Band of Joy is an amazing group of musicians who are taking old songs and in a Country/Rock/Blues arrangement creating a style of music that is perfect for Robert Plant to woo and work the audience into a frenzy. It was fantastic to see Robert let each of the very talented band members take the lead on each of their own songs. A musician of Roberts stature and one would think his ego would not allow, but showing his confidence and possibly wisdom he would stand to the rear and in backing vocals or playing his harmonica lend a support to the song. Of course anyone who follows Robert Plant knows of his Led Zepplin days. His new arrangement on those songs he chooses for the show the audience seemed to appreciate and in fact sing along every word. Robert Plant at his age and this time in his music seems to be doing what is exactly what is right for him and it is a joy to listen to. I completely loved the music. However, the venue completely SUCKED! A ballroom stuffed with chairs watching a small stage and a poor sound system. Restrooms lacking, The food and beverage areas even less than a high school cafeteria. The Indian casino as a venue SUCKS!
